AMD launches Barcelona(Opteron) this month

AMD is going for more and more.AMD,the fastest grower in the Hardware field is going to launch their new Processor AMD Opteron(Barcelona) this month.Barcelona is another name for AMD Opteron.AMD Opteron is a Quad Core Processor.Barcelona follows a new Technology named "Advanced Architecture".AMD also says that Opteron will be the first X86 processor in which four cores has been integrated to a single Silicon Die.

AMD plans to launch 2 GHz processors first and to go for more later.With this new Processor AMD Barcelona,AMD guarantees 70% increase in the efficiency in the Database Applications.Barcelona mainly concentrates on the Server Market.

AMD has always astonished as with their low prices and higher performance.AMD Sempron and AMD Athelon were very well appreciated with their quality.AMD Athelon was the one which was able to stop the Monopoly of Intel Pentium Processors in the Hardware markets.We can hope the best from AMD Opteron or Barcelona!
