Rapidshare is the largest free file hosting service over the web. Rapidshare allows users to host any types of files like Music,Videos,Movies,Games or any type of files. Illegal contents, if found will be delted from Rapidshare, without a warn. Rapidshare offers two types of access to download files from it. One is Rapidshare Premium and other is FREE.
Rapidshare Premium.
This is the premium service provided for rapidshare down loaders. You have to buy a premium account from rapidshare.com for this. Premium packages from 2 days, 1month, 3months, 6months, 1 year etc are available. Payment can be made through PayPal (verified or unverified), Wire transfer , Credit Card etc.
Advantages:
* User can download many files at a time, without loss in speed. In my experience, I have downloaded about 28 files at same time with almost good speed (parallel download)
* User can use Download managers, so that you can retain your downloads, even if it fails at any time due to some reason.
* Special bandwidth slots are reserved for a premium user, so that you will never need to wait for allocating a download path.
Rapidsahre FREE
You can also download from Rapidshare for FREE. In order to do this, first copy the link to your address bar, then click "GO".
Eg: Consider this rapidshare file:

When you click this link, you will reach this page as shown below in figure.
Now Click "FREE" button on this page. Now you will reach another page as shown below.
From this page, select a slot for your download like Teliasonera, Level3 etc, as shown in the green dot. Also type in the captche code (9R68 in this figure) in the box. Now click "Download via" button. You are done. Now a new dialog box will appear, where you can select the "where to save" path on your computer and press OK.
Disadvantages:
*Rapidshare FREE user cant perform parallel downloads. This means a FREE user can download only one file at a time.
*Rapidshare inserts considerable delay time between consecutive downloads by a FREE user. This means if you have downloaded one file now, you must have to wait for some 1 hour or so to download next file. But you can fool this procedure, if you are having a net connection without a constant IP.
How to avoid delay time between consecutive downloads for Rapidshare FREE user
Most of the ISP (internet service provider) will not provide you a constant IP. If you are not having a constant IP connection, you can fool rapidshare delays easily. After performing a download, just restart your MODEM. You are done. Now you can download the next rapidshare file easily, without any delay.
